I was born in Iran, I live in Vienna, and I consider myself a citizen of the world.

I completed my schooling in Iran, India, and Austria at the Vienna English School. I then studied English and Spanish at the Institute of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Vienna. Even during my studies, my professional path began at the United Nations in conference and visitor services. After that, I worked for twelve years in a senior management role in international events and congress management.

My interest in crisis management and personal development grew out of my own life experiences and led to a professional reorientation. I am trained in Integrative Gestalt Therapy and Psychosynthesis and regularly take part in continuing professional education.

I have been running my own counselling practice since 1997, and additionally as a psychotherapist since 2005. I have also been working since 2007 for Hemayat — Support Centre for Survivors of Torture and War — as a freelance psychotherapist. I am also registered on the list of psychotherapists of the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection.

On a personal note: Every free moment I spend with my dog Pashmak, a lively little Havanese girl.
