I was born in Iran, live in Vienna and see myself as a world citizen.

I completed my schooling in Iran, India, and Austria at the Vienna English School. I then studied English and Spanish at the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna. During my studies my professional path began at the United Nations in conference and visitor services. Following that I worked for twelve years in a senior management role in international events and congress management.

My interest in crisis management and personal development grew out of my own life experiences and led to a professional reorientation. I am trained in Integrative Gestalt Therapy and Psychosynthesis and regularly take part in continuing professional education.

I have run my own counselling practice since 1997 and in 2005 started practising as a psychotherapist.  In 2007 I joined Hemayat – Support Centre for Survivors of War and Torture – as a freelance psychotherapist. I am also on the roster of psychotherapists for the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection.

On a personal note: Every free moment I spend with my dog Pashmak, a lively little Havanese girl.
